World Energy Project

A non-profit providing sustainable energy for developing communities

We met WEP as students the University of Nebraska. We were architecture students, they were well, a very diverse, talented and ambitious group ranging in discipline from engineering to journalism. They were and still are an inspiring team dedicated to changing lives in developing countries.

We had the honor to derive a new brand, something to identify their efforts in places where language wasn't always easy.

The World Energy Project’s mission is to work with developing communities across the globe to install and maintain sustainable energy systems – empowering them to thrive and compete in today’s world.

Creating a logo that allows for worldly translation was an exciting obstacle to tackle. It was our pleasure to work with the inspiring people of the World Energy Project, and it has been fun to watch them campaign and fund-raise for their trips to other countries.

Sleek and purposeful, yet simple
enough to trace on the ground.

The result is an iconic symbol that stands out in any context where they are working — countries around the world with very different languages.
